  • Bad news about Bilstein front shocks

So I put my front shocks on order back in August and there still on backorder. After talking to AJ-USA the guy suggested that I call other suppliers to find them in stock. When I got to the bottom of supplier list I got to shockwarehouse.com and when I read the part number to the lady she knew instantly and told me no. She then informed me they have been on backorder sense June. She said a supplier to Bilstein for one of the components for the shock fell threw and they are redesigning the whole shock and will not be available til January at best. This sucks.

Just get some KYB ADJ., I think you will like them. They have setting so you can adjust them the way you want.

Are you upgrading your shocks two at a time? I wouldn't go for KYB adjustables, I'd go for some Koni adjustables. You get what you pay for.

Well I ordered all 4 at once and got my rears and not my fronts.

I haven't had any problems with the KYB ADJ. , I think their pretty good for the price.

I ordered the Bilstein shocks from tire rack around August and they told me the same thing about back order after I had already waited over three weeks. I just went ahead and went with the KYB AGX and I love them. I also have the Eibach pro kit. I would definitly sugest the KYB shocks.

doh... come to orlando, swap my shocks for yours, and give me $100 and you can have my bilsteins for $100. only 10k miles on them, and most of that was highway(not exagerating..., drove 10k miles in 3 months)

My car has 150k on the ticker and I beleive that these are the original front shocks. Even if there not I know I have put at least 80k miles on them so I don't think you want them. Besides I can't come to Orlando just for that and I'm not sure how to ship these sense there under pressure.

Whats up with putting this in threads? I think in the 4 threads I've read this morning you've had this as a comment. Please post something worth while in threads occasionally, will ya:rolleyes:

To everyone about the KYB Adjustable, I'm sure there good and I appreciate the suggestion but I know nothing on set up and just want to have Bilsteins that are preset at all 4 corners of my car. I think I will hold out for the Bilsteins up front.
