Okay, so everytime it rains and my car is outside for a few hours. I start driving down the road and barely hit the brakes and the car stops like it HITS A BRICK WALL. The low traction light comes on, the wheels lock up and everything. It does this for several miles and stops and eventually goes back to normal. Anyone know what could cause this? ABS sensor or something maybe? Only happens when it rains and my car is left outside for a few hours.

Re: Brake Issue?
i think thats normal... specially if you have aftermarket rims.... i think water found its way to your rotor and pads.... not sure though...
Horsepower is how fast you hit the Minivan... Torque is how far you take the Minivan with you... :wavey:

Re: Brake Issue?
this happens on any car... like the other day... my car was sitting for a day in the rain... i went out and drove it ... did the same thing until i braked a few times... just takes a few good braking runs to dry it off and then your fine... i wouldnt worry about it as long as its only when its raining

Re: Brake Issue?
I don't think they are "drying off". If you look at your rotors after it rains, you will see a bit of surface rust. The sudden grip you when you touch the brakes is your pads scraping that stuff off.'99 Mountaineer AWD 5.0 - 4300K HID, Some Bolt-ons
