OK, it's late, and I know I should search, but I figured I'd go ahead an ask. I need a new suspension set-up on my car. I currently have Z-28 rear springs, Z-28 rear sway, Z-28 rear shocks, Z-28 torsion bar, and the front and everything else is stock. It's a daily driver, so ride is important, but I also want good performance from them on the street and track. I was pondering getting rid of my car because of my road beats the suspension to ****, but I've heard Bilsteins will outlast the car, so...Anyways, I told my mom this, and she said for Christmas, we'll work an redoing the entire suspension on my car. So, what would you guys recommend for a cost effective, good performing daily driver suspension set-up? I'm talking sways, bushings, LCA's, panhard, springs, shocks, and everything else. Recommendations/suggestions/etc. I'll do a search tomorrow during my free time at school, but until then I figured I'd go ahead and post on here.

OK. I don't want to lower the car any. I've got a body kit for it, and plan on putting some 18" wheels on it, but no lowering. It already drags on half the driveways/bumps here and I'm almost afraid of putting the body kit on it.

Well, I'm about 1/4" from dragging the front end on most of the parking curbs and such. I think the body kit will barely clear, but if I lower it then there's no way. It'll look hot as hell, but I don't think it would be very parkable where I live :(. IDK, I'll check, so far I haven't been able to find stock height springs, they're all lowering springs, so it may end up getting lowered.

Checking out UMI's site, and I'm liking the QA1's. Is that price per shock, or for the set of 2? If it's per shock, then nevermind :P. Then I'd probably be looking into SLP's Spring/Shock package. Are jounce bumper spacers needed for 18's? Also checking out LCA relocation brackets. Also, I remember reading that you don't want poly bushings in your suspension pieces because they won't flex properly or something, but all the kits I find come with poly's, and all the parts come with polys in them already. If polys are fine, then I'll probably just grab the Hyper-Flex Bushing set from GVP. And then top it all off with UMI's LCA and panhard bar Kit and a strut tower brace (mainly for looks). If needed, I'll add SFC's in the future.

            So, opinions? Suggestions?

If you are looking for shocks check out tirerack.com. The Bilsteins are really inexpensive there. Now I tried to order Bilsteins from two places and something went wrong with an entire line of shocks so they had to throw away all of them and they are not going to have anymore able to be shipped out untill after new years. I know I say this a lot but the KYB AGX shock they have are on my car now and they are great IMO.

Kristen, did you get the revalved Bilstein HD struts/shocks from Strano? Or are you just running the stock valving for those with the lowering springs?
