looking to get new shocks (all 4) pretty soon, what do you guys think would work best with my setup?
im running eibach prokit springs right now. The car is a daily driver and im looking to spend ~400 dollars.
was looking into getting bilstein HDs but im not sure if those are the best shocks for a lowered car.
and does anyone know if bilstein shocks are still on a national backorder?
Get the KYB AGX. The bilstein are on back order till around January 1. The bilstein are not damp enough for the rate of the pro kit. If you get the AGX you can make the ride almost as smooth as stock. I think it rides better than stock. Then you can set the shocks and make it ride rough but handle amazing and you can set it anywhere in between. My set up is the AGX and the pro kit BTW.
I have KYB ADJ. up front, for about a year now, no problems. I also like the way you can adjust the settings as needed.

would those be the same shocks that come on slp ss's?
Yes.....but
you can get these for the rears but the fronts are on an INTERnational backorder. Essentialy there going to be a diffrent front shock as they are completely redesigning it so I don't know if the rates will be the same as what they were. Hope so though.

TEASE, who is running 11.7 in the 1/4, is running QA1 shocks, thats the ones I want when mine go out. Little expensive though. I thought she was running KYB's but it was someone different.

So these will work with the Eibach Pro lowering springs?
Yup, thats the shocks and springs that I have on my Firebird. I got all 4 of my shocks on ebay from "ShocksAndSprings" for $338 shipped...the springs were $250 from Summit Racing.

Tirerack has the springs for $209 and the shocks were cheap there, too. So you have this exact same setup without having the shocks modified? Have you had any problems with the shocks not doing their jobs because they were too long with the shorter springs?
2000 Camaro V6<br />I\'ve done nothing to my car worth note. :)
Nope, no problems that I've noticed at all. Since the new springs and shocks, I've installed some 17" wheels with some wider tires...so far so good. Im happy so far.
