  • i need some advice

my wife got a 99 bird in january. in the big town of greenville tx. they make ditches across every street in town and its rubbing the paint off the front end. is there any way to raise the whole car about an inch or so without hurting the way it drives or causing the front suspention to wear out faster? any advice will be helpfull. thanks.

          that might work
you could put larger tires on it
lower the back of the car

Actually , V8 springs front and rear would raise it up an 1" or so, I would do some V8 sways too, maybe 32mm front 19mm or 21 mm rear sway. That would keep your handling better with the spring rates. Also since your there new front and rear shocks, Blisteins HD's or you could go with Some KYB ADJ. so you can change your settings to your liking.

being a v6,wouldnt v8 springs make it a little bouncy or ride too rough?

No. The suspension was designed to work at a specific ride height. Raising the car will mess up the geometry.

Since it's 8 years old, are the shocks original? If so, replacing them will help a little and actually improve the way it drives.
