  • Need help with ABS module!

Ok so i have been researching this for like a year now, been about as long since my ABS module took a s**t on me. I have been trying to find a replacment module for a while now. Now from what i understand the non Y87 camaro/fire birds had a 3 channel ABS module. How I understand this is that the front wheels are operated independently while the rear act toghether as on when the ABS activates. And on th Y87 camaro/firebirds it is a four channel module, all four wheels act independently. Please correct me if i am wrong. My '02 Camaro also has option NW9 "ASR = Traction Control". After looking at my current non functioning module it looks like the one dispaleyd in the following link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-...QQcmdZViewItem The problem that i am having is that all the ones that look like my unit say they came from a v6 f-body without traction control. This unit has the correct number of lines but supposedly does not work with traction control.
And when i find one with traction control it looks like this instead. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-02...QQcmdZViewItem The problem with this on is that it has two lines for the rearend, one for each wheel and mine only has one. I am so frustrated with this right now, and could really use some help. Thanks for reading my long freakin post. :o

Maybe you have already done this, but go to the dealer part department and get the correct part number. Then use that to verify if you ebay item has the correct part number.

Actually i did do that before, David8399 found the part number for me 12457655 list price is $904.18. I can't find that5 number on the part in any of the pics provided. I guess i will have to call them and find out.

Sure thing. The 3 and 4 channel ABS has nothing to do with the Y87 code. Instead the presence of Traction Control determines this (TCS is not required for Y87). No TCS = 3 channel, TCS = 4 channel.
