  • knock knock

    every time i turn right there's a knock sound and then when i straighten out after the turn it knocks again. whats going on?

    probably a broken exhaust hanger somewhere

      wheres the knock come from ? bad bearing or bushing maybe?

        it's coming from the rear on the passenger side. i thought at first it might be the spare, but it's tight. then i thought it could be the back wheel being loose, so i checked the lugnuts and they're tightened down. it's a 2000 camaro 5 speed (if it helps)

          Sounds like your I-pipe banging the body above the axle. Mine used to do this because I added heavy exhuast tips. I used some heavy gauge wire to limit the movement of the hanger.

            I had an exhaust hanger break on one of my tips, letting all 7ish feet of exhaust tubing swing virtually freely, creating the same phenomenon that you were describing. Check the hangers in the rear

              My exhaust hangers on my 02 camaro are horrible so I'm told. And I believe it because when I go around a turn, usually a left turn I hear the tailpipes bangin the body in the right rear.
