I got New shocks for Christmas form my brother, and my buddy is selling his eibach's off of his 2000 SS. Are these springs compatible with my car? I've heard they are but wanted to make 100% sure b4 I buy them. do they lower the same on a v6 and v8? Please help.

    Re: Quick Question

As far as I know they will work. However, it won't lower as much due to the v8 being heavier.

        Re: Quick Question

The only difference that I can think of is the stiffness of the spring, due to the v8 weighing more so I would think they would handle just as well.

the weight difference between a LS1-equipped f-body and a L36-equipped f-body is practically non-existant. this is so because LS1s have an aluminum block, while L36s have an iron block

Horsepower is how fast you hit the Minivan... Torque is how far you take the Minivan with you... :wavey:

                No, because it's from a 93+ f-body to another 93+ f-body

Front springs are the a few lbs/in heavier in the v8, rear springs are the same (114 lbs/in) stock in 1998+

So it would be okay to buy them? He put them on and took them off a week later because he didnt like the "ride" and only wants 90 for them? Should I get them for my car or is it not a good idea and save up for the ones made for my car?
