  • Did I screw the pooch on this...

I picked up some adjustable Koni's off a z-28 and already put in the rears. I am working on lowering the car with Eibachs soon.

Doing some searching last night, many of you guys recommend Bilsteins SLP shocks on a lowered car. Will the Koni's work if adjusted "properly".

Swapping out the rears is easy enough, but I want to get this figured out before I do the fronts.

    Thanks

From everything that I've read from both v8 and v6 f-body owners, the Koni's will work better than the Bilsteins. What model are the Koni's?

good question. Whatever came stock on the z28. They are adjustable. When (if) I get time, I'll dig out the front ones and see if there is a model # on them.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Koni's ought to work better than the Bilsteins... Good luck with it!

Koni works well but they are generally more expensive. Bilstein doesn't have the fronts available for sale and they won't for probably a few months, if ever.

I don't think GM put any adjustable shocks on these cars. Sounds like you lucked up and found an aftermarket set of Koni's. If so, good score! :)

              Are they SA or DA?

jay, you might want to think about doing the front springs and struts at the same time. it's such a pita to do the them(unless your have air tools). the rear is very easy. just something to think about.
