yep i was wondering how hard is it to replace these stuff.. because for the lower ball joints we have to use a press which i dont have so i have to take it to the shop... but for the upper ones is it the same process? and for the Outter tie rods is it that hard? i havent checked it my self because its like -15 outside so im asking the guys that doesnt have winter or have heated garages... :wavey:

Re: Upper Ball joints and Outter Tie Rods...
you can rent a ball join press from autozone, or im sure any other big auto store. The upper ball joint needs to have the rivets drilled out, and then the new one comes with 3 bolts to replace them with. The outter tie rod end is pretty easy. dont really need any special tools for them. The rod end will just unscrew off, but there is like some thredlocker on them so it takes a little force. make sure you mark where the rod end was or count how many turns it took to get it off, then when you put the new one on you will be in the right range. But you will need to get an alinment afterwards

Re: Upper Ball joints and Outter Tie Rods...
yes, the upper ball joints got rivets and the new ones got bolts i guess, i already changed the front bushings all around and paint the A-arms, spindles and sway bar, is a lot of work, like 3-4 days working 6 to 8 hours, if you are going to remove the lower A-arms you must take the car to the shop for alingning

Re: Upper Ball joints and Outter Tie Rods...
it shouldnt be very hard. i just did ball joints, all 4 tie-rod ends, idler arm ect on my truck. one thing i would recommend is replace everything while your at it. alot of that stuff is easy to replace when you have it torn apart. taking it apart is the hardest part, its not really hard its more time consuming than anything. just make sure you hit all the grease points when you put it back together, if you run the ball joints dry they wont last very long. just take your time and everything should go fine. it was the first time i did ball joints on anything when i did my truck, it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be and u had big CVs to work around. when you drill out your uppers to put the new ones on, put lock tight on the new bolts. who ever did my truck before me must not have. my wheel would move in and out (sign of bad ball joints) really bad, thats why i decided to replace them, when i tore it down i found all 4 nuts on the upper ball joint were finger loose  not good for the truck and also very dangerous, you dont wanna drop a ball joint on the highway, play it safe and throw some lock-tight on there. i dont know how bad camaros are on ball joints but you might want to get the ones with a lifetime warrenty on them, for a couple bucks more i think its worth it.

Re: Upper Ball joints and Outter Tie Rods...
I want to know how this "part" is called. I want to restore my front suspension, but I got little confused, because I can't figure out if this "part" is included in bushing kits, like this http://store.summitracing.com/partde...18130G&FROM=MG
