  • cant get it straight

    aight i have this problem and i dont know what to do,i took my camaro to get aligned and the guy told me that i was able to aligne the car but he coulndt get the steerting wheel straight so i took it back home and took the steerign wheel off and i found out that you cant fix from there either so my dad try to do it from the bottom of the car and nothing, what do you guys think i should do any help would be much appreciated thanxs

    To adjust the steering wheel, you need to adjust your outter tie-end rods, depending on which side your steering is off 11 o'clock or 1 o'clock. To adjust it for lets say, 11 o'clock you would move it "in" so many turns on the drivers side outter tie-end rod then do the same amount of turns going "out" on the passenger side tie-end rod. Also make sure you watch the steering wheel so it doesn't move on ya.

        a good alignment shop should be able to do that, where did you take it?
        the guy probably just told you he couldnt do it because he didnt want to

          The guy probably forgot to straighten the steering wheel in the beginning and then said he wasn't able to do it..

          That's why I will always do this type of stuff myself. I can do free alignments in my high school. Free wheel balancing, etc etc.

            agreed with previous statement, sounds like you need to adjust tie-rods and a decent shop should be able to do this
