Hi, im new to the site but not to Camaros. I have a 1997 rs camaro that I want to change the drum brakes on the rear to a disc brake setup. My cousin has the rear end out of a fourth gen f-body that still has the rotors, calipers, and brake line on it. I do not know if it came out of a newer v6 or lt1 camaro. All i know is its out of a camaro. But anyways, I want to know what all will I have to do to swap the disc brakes onto my car. Will it be simple like just changing the backing plates put on the rotor/caliper? Will I have to run new brake lines? Will it affect my traction control sensor or ebrake in any way? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I only have a couple days before he junks it. Oh, a complete swap is not possible due to the fact that the yoke bearing is no good. I just want to know if I can transfer what I need onto the rear end that is already under the car. Thanks.
