Hey guys (and girls)... just wondering, does anyone have any pics of a fresh install of some 1.5" lowering springs in the rear? Anyone have any measurements from the ground to the fender? Just wondering, because i just got new springs/shocks in the front and its a lot higher than it used to be, and i'll probably be putting new ones in the rear soon but i dont want it to be too high.. i'm wondering how lowering springs will affect the stance of it with the new springs in the front.. Thanks

Re: Rear lowering springs?
actually after thinking about it, i could be wrong about 1.5" lowering springs.. i'll have to look around..
I put new AC Delco springs on it, they were free so i couldnt pass it up.. My old ones were probably the ones from the factory so they had some sag to them.. the new ones raised the front end quite a bit.. They're supposed to be v6 springs but i suppose someone could've messed up and got z28 springs.. Maybe not, i'm not really sure..
It just makes the rear end look a little lower than i would like it to be now..

Re: Rear lowering springs?
and yeah, i know it sounds wierd to have stock springs in front and lowering springs in back.. but the way it is now i think it would look decent if the rear was just a little higher.. it would be level.. still high for my taste, but level at least... i liked how it was before, the stance anyway.. it was just a bit low though.. about an inch or so more would've been perfect.

Re: Rear lowering springs?
i want it a little higher than it is now.. so i figure since the suspension is about 130k miles old, if i put lowering springs (just an inch or so) it'll end up just a little higher than it is now.. hoping anyway, thats why im wondering about measurements and stuff..

Re: Rear lowering springs?
if you just want a pair of lowering springs for the rear. I think your only option is the edelbrocks which lower 1.5 inches. I doubt your stock springs have sagged more than that. Just go with stock replacements if you want it higher.

If you put lowering springs on the rear, its gonna lower the rear, as the name states.. I've never seen stock springs so sagged that it was lower than lowering springs... Maybe close, but I doubt lower
but yeah, i'll trust your judgement for sure.. Either way, i'll probably be getting new springs in the back soon anyway (stock ones).. the rear is just slightly lower on the pass. side..
thanks guys..
