  • Gas-A-Just?

Anyone heard/used these? They're from KYB and they're fairly cheap. I was looking for something to replace my stockers (106K on them), and these seem to fit the requirements. Clicky

There's the rear shocks, for 37.95. Fronts are 95.95, making it about $260 for a full set. Car's sitting at stock height and will remain that way for atleast 3 yrs. I'm not sure if I will lower it then or not, but I still want some new decent shocks that will last atleast until then.

Yeah... you have me curious about these as well. I'm in need of new shocks and am about to lower, so now would be the time to do it.

i have those on both my camaro's and i love them, i do suggest you replace your stock springs with a set off an LS1 though reason i say that is because the ride on my show camaro is a lot better thats because it has LS1 springs.

When i did the same shocks on my DD camaro but with stock V6 springs and the ride of the show camaro is better.

I bought some gas-a-just rear shocks for my old camaro cause my stockers had 95k and would always bottom out on dips. but after the new ones, the ride was smooth and not to bumpy and for the price, you can't go wrong.

Springs shouldn't have that much affect on the ride I thought. Plus, they would make the car sit higher since they're set-up for the heavier 8cylinder (which I've heard isn't much heavier, but still none the less).

I think I might order a set soon.

Shocks probably affect the ride the most.

Think about when you slam on the gas.. the whole front end comes up and the rear squats.. with aftermarket shocks, you won't be moving very much.

If you had stock shocks and aftermarket lowering springs, it would do the same **** as the normal springs, you will just be sitting lower.

So they have a nice ride...how about from a performance standpoint. How do they compare to other brands?

would these work on a 99 bird? are camero shocks interchangable with firebird shocks?

Their all the same, just different appearance between the two. I have KYB ADJ. up front and Blisteins HD in the rear. I like both of them, no problems.

I have the prokit and KYB AGX when you crank them down to the stiffest setting the car grips great. I pull on my friends 350Z like mad in turn. I actually watched him slide off the road trying to keep up with me in a turn.
