Ok, I am revisiting the suspension set up...since I am on somewhat of a budget would going with something like Koni adjustables in the back, and kyb agx adjustables in the front be an ok thing to do? I know you're not supposed to mix, but I dunno since they are both adjustable, and I seem to have this notion that the front is not as important as the back, Im thinking it may just be ok...?

Re: kyb AGX and KONI's?
I have KYB ADJ. up front and Blisteins HD in the rear and I like it. Really up to you and what you want and budget wise. The front would be more as important as the rear since your steering is up front.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: kyb AGX and KONI's?
I have KYB AGX shocks in the front and the stock shocks in the rear(at least for now), I like the AGX shocks. I think if you had a different set for the front then the back would be ok, I think having two different kinds of shocks on the front or rear would be the only mixing that wouldnt be good.

Re: kyb AGX and KONI's?
There's nothing wrong with KYB's all the way around. Unless you race alot with the car, and the rest of your suspension is adjustable, theres no reason to get double adjustable. If you drive daily with it, and race here and there every now and then, then they will be perfect for ya. Is this setup for Drag or road/autocross? If for autocross and road racing, then your focus should be more in the front then the rear, cause when you brake and turn, all your force is applied to the front. If you drag, then just get stuff for the rear of the vehicle, or just buy drag shocks. and if your gonna go with this setup, Why are you buying the medium grade Struts for the front, adn one of the best for the rear, it doesnt make sense. Listen, a very reputable performance shop owner once told me, A budget is not used to look for the cheapest parts and slap them on, but to give yourself a set time and product purchase. So if your gonna go into somethign like suspension, dont, pardon my french or take my words harsh, Half *** it. Research what type of setup you want, and what people use. You first need to say, do I want this for Drag, road race, or just upgrade my daily street suspension. Then say should I go with good, better, or best parts. You pay for what you get, so if you really want things to work well and last long, save your money up so you can get the good stuff. And most performance parts are built to work as a set. Yeah you could bolt Dart heads to an Edelbrock intake, and a Holley carb, but really, each of those parts were designed more to work with their own company parts. So if your really are goign to buy shocks/struts. Sit down, know 100% that you really are goign to get them ,and research exactly what you want. My suspension is Highly modded, butthe springs and Shocks are stock, and yet my car handles like it does have performance ones. its not just shocks that will make a difference, a small part, but its combining them with other things such as sway bars, panhard bars, SFC, and such, youll see an incredible difference.

Re: kyb AGX and KONI's?
I have KYB AGX all around with eibach prokit springs. First off the KYB AGX is eight way adjustable not two and when set on one it rides great and when set on eight my car handles amazing. Also When you adjust the setting on the KYB AGX it adjust compression and rebound at the same time. But if you want to get Koni's go for it cause they are the best. But if you are going to get front KYB I dont think its worth the extra money to get just rear Koni's. But what are you setting up for.

Thats the setup I was lookign to get into...for over a year now lol. How easy is it to get to the knobs? When I get back form Taiwan in a couple weeks, and I have some left over money, I think im gonna go for it, ill go for a set of KYB's and Eibachs.

Re: kyb AGX and KONI's?
I want a set-up on stock height springs, that handles good...car feels kinda unpredictable right now...the car hits the drag strip maybe 3 times in a year...

Re: kyb AGX and KONI's?
Go with the Koni's on all four corners if you can afford them. If you start mix matching, be prepared to do a lot of swapping to find a combo that works. I think you'll be happy sticking with one type of shock for front and rear.
I have to disagree with Blacmaro on the fact that most performance parts are designed to work as a set. A set of Dart heads would work great with an Edelbrock manifold and a holley carb. You just have to pick the right ones. A set of Dart iron eagles 200cc heads would work great with a edelbrock performer rpm dual plain manifold and a 650 holley on a small block 350 street car. However, using those 200cc heads with a Victor single plain manifold and a dominator carb is not a great combo for the street.69 Camaro 350 4spd, Full Hotchkis susp, Baer brakes, moser 12 bolt, Flowmaster

96 RS Hotchkis STB, subframe connectors, Hotchkis LCA and adj Panhard rod, SS camaro sway bars, Bilstein shocks, powerslot rotors, Borla exhaust, rksport headers, k@nFIPK
