Re: car bottems out when full of people, shound i do heater hose mod?
Yeah im with everyone else.. if you're bottoming out all the time your suspension needs some work. Or it could be exactly as Smoke Panther says, which as usual is sort of insulting to someone but funny to me at least.

I don't let fattys ride in my car. Witch leads to another questin iv'e always had. I know people are willing to take there spare tire out, and there un used seats, and carpet out to go faster. Do people ever loose drag races bacause there fat?

Ha! Well I think I'm gonna go ahead and do the heater hose mod when I paint my rims. Ill just drive slower with a full car and fix my suspention some other time.

Ah the some other time excuse.. which turns into never.. which turns into more expensive in the end. Attention: You've been warned.
No. One just needs to learn how to drive an F-body. Take speed bumps one wheel at a time, and you'll be fine...hose mod or no
^^^x2. My rear suspension would bottom out if I went just a little too fast with myself (180lbs) and my gf (now ex, 113lbs) in the car. Just take it slow.

What's worse.. You knew your weight then? Or your gf's exact weight then?
Re: car bottems out when full of people, shound i do heater hose mod?
He had to keep her in line with the weight deal. Well personally, what years your car, how many miles are on it, ect. I would suggest new springs in the rear, and shocks if you got some miles on that car, that can help a little. also an LT1 is probably no more then 100lbs. more then the V6, which that weight is also in the front, and which Z28's use stronger springs in the front. I personally dont recommend 4 people in the car. Yes our cars have 4 seats, but I personally have always saw them just to make the car legal as a passenger car, but should be for no more then 2 people really. but whenever I had 4 people in my car, I bottomed out maybe twice ever in the time I had owned the car (due to bad roads) but wasent a constant problem. Stick with one friend at a time in the passenger seat. Oh and about the heater hose mod, dont ghetto your ****, do it right, do it once, buy some damn eibach progressive rate springs and youll be fine. If your trying to be cheap, instead of wasting money on food and gas hauling 4 friends around, let them drive you, and save that money your wasting on gas and buy the springs, or have them give you some gas money.

Your car is an F-body, not a Ferrari. I've had 5 full grown people crammed into my 9-year old car, and I still don't bottom-out any more than usual

The only person who will know that you did the hose mod is the person who actually did the mod, and anyone he tells. The mod is in a extremely non-visible place, and really only drops the rear down by like half an inch.
Oh, and to the OP...doing the hose mod isn't going to aggrivate your bottoming out issues. It only effects the rear half of the car, and if something back there is hitting the ground, you seriously need to revamp your driving style

I forgot to mention I run 275/40R17 in the front and 315/35R17 in the rear, so it doesnt bottom out cause it hit the rear jouncers, i had to do the fender mod to make them fit, and the inner fender well mod too, but like I said, only twice has it ever rubbed.

that half inch will get rid of some of the car's rake amd make the back ties look bigger. no one will know i did it but they will look at the back of my car and say to theme selves "something looks different." i might as well do it bacause im takeing the wheels off to paint them, so ill mess with the springs while the paints drying.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
