Since I'm redoing my brakes, I called my uncle in FL about getting new calipers and he said something about a $23 core charge. He told me that I would probably be better off buying them locally. (w/o the core charge the calipers cost $8.31 a peice)
So I called advanced auto this afternoon and asked them about getting some new calipers for the car since i'm redoing everything that has to do with the brakes. The lady told me the cost of the brakes plus a $25 core charge. Then she proceeded to explain to me that I had to bring my old ones in for it not to cost me the 25 extra.
What I understand the core charge to be is a caliper trade. Anyone understand why??
So I was like 25, there has to be somewhere cheaper. I randomly called Don Bulluck Chevrolet and Cadillac (local chevy dealer) and they want $220.21 for one.
