Tires and wheels

Ok so im looking to put c5 z06 wheels on :
front 17x9.5 inch rear 18x10.5 $936
Tire size: 255/40R17 and 275/35R18 ???

Little lost on the tires part... does that sound right? Im looking for some performance, but overall I really want a low profile look. Btw my car is lowered by like an inch. Not too worried about price but i would like to not go over $2000 on the combo.

Im in Dallas Texas. Those prices I listed are off a website that i might be buying from. I just need tire sizes now.

well I have 17x9's and I have 275/40/17. and they look right. So on a 9.5 rim I think 275 would be the least you could do.

those tires/wheels will almost be the exact same size if you lay them on top of each other, and IIRC they are about the same size as the 255/60/16 16" wheels that came stock

i have done a lot of looking around, and i figured i dont want the staggered look, many people dont like it, it is more expensive to buy tires, and it can mess with the ABS sensors
