Re: anybody Chopped springs
Stock I'm scraping the asphalt all the time, thankfully it's only been the airdam or just a scraping of the cat. I've seen so many cars with chopped springs and bad shocks. If it's going to sit in your front yard, then it looks cool. Respectfully, when I see a chop job on the street, the bouncing and poorly aligned broken down suspension just looks pathetic (the cars with struts are the absolute worse).

Re: anybody Chopped springs
Allow me to speak from personal experience.
In 1991, I cut my springs on my Z24 Cavalier. The ride quality was horible, but that was the least of my problems. Like the rear springs of the Camaro, the Z24's springs were tapered. Once they were cut, they didn't fit quite right anymore. On the way home, while on the highway doing 70MPH, one of the front springs popped out of it's perch, spun around and the cut side plowed itself into the side wall of my tire. The tire was ripped to shreds and I lost control of the car. After spinning several times and soiling my pants, I was lucky that I hit nothing and nothing hit me.
So my advise to you is do it right or don't do it. Springs are designed to fit in there a certain way and you don't want to loose it like I did.
