  • Not quite strong enough

After trying to swap in a 32mm front sway bar/bushings/endlinks this weekend, I was reminded on why I've shyed away from car repairs/upgrades. Halfway into trying to unbolt the endlinks, I realize I was just spinning the bolt as I cranked away on the nut, lol. I didn't have the upper body strength to loosen the nut and bolt simultaneously.

I tried a little WD40, but no luck. I did manage to tighten everything back up.

Looks like another visit to Meineke...unless I can talk my neighbor to give me a hand.

Where do you live? Shouldn't give you that much trouble. Perhaps try PB Blaster instead of WD40.

use some penetrating oil. not wd40. break away has always worked good for me. if all else fails, just get someone to give you a hand holding the nut

I live in upstate ny...I'll try some different penetrating sprays, unless you want to drive up and help me install it! :)

or just take a hack saw to the endlinks. They can be a pain.

I hear ya , I tried changing my front brake lines to stainless and I couldn't get the old ones apart. So now I have to wait until I can get some help to do them.

Although I don't think this is typical, I sprayed my endlinks with PB Blaster, let it sit overnight and after loosening with a wrench, literally took the bolts off by hand.

X2....Dont re-use stock. You can pick up a nice new set with poly bushings from like 20 bucks.
