I just tried putting some Pro Stop brake pads on the front left and the caliper wouldn't easily get up to the top bolt when the new ones were in. I finally used some leverage and got it there but then the rotor wouldn't turn at all. Are the pads too thick and has anyone had a problem like this before? I haven't until now...

Re: Brake Pads too thick???
I compressed the two brake pistons all the way. I don't see how the caliper can be compressed when it is one solid piece... The problem is that the outer brake pad is too thick and that caused the caliper to not be able to slide over far enough in towards the car so that the upper bolt holes would line up. I am going to get some OEM pads tomorrow to see if they work.
Thanks for the replies.2000 M5 SILVER FIREBIRD
*Flowmaster 80
*K&N air filter
*SLP LCAs
*Fast Toys CAI

You actually have to compress the piston into the caliper.www.fullthrottlev6.com
www.chitownracing.com

Re: Brake Pads too thick???
By far, the best pads I've used is factory AC Delco pads. I'm putting new front pads on my Trans Am to next week replace the ORIGINAL factory AC Delco pads. The car has 77k miles and God knows how many passes down the track. Never glazed or sqealed once. Find an aftermarket pad that can do that.-Travis
99 Trans Am, Pewter, A4 Forged, stalled, and cammed
85 Buick Regal WH1 T-Type It\'d be cool if it ran...
94 Camaro 3.4, Teal, M5 The daily beater
