just purchased the ebay guy strut bar, because the price was attractive and wanted to try it out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&s...
I don't think anyone else on the boards is using it. I'm a bit concerned about the mounting but we'll see. They have a 2 week return policy, so if it doesn't work out, I'll get my money back.
Definitely let us know how that turns out. I've been looking at the ebay ones as well, I'm just a little deterred by the low price and in this instance the inability to correctly spell Camaro....but if the fit is right and it does it's job that's a helluva price.
Well it says generic picture. We'll hope so as that one sure wouldn't work. Mine ran 87 I think it was. Most claim not to notice a difference with it installed, but entering driveways and going over bumps, I really noticed the front of the car stiffen up. Let us know if it fits, and of the build quality.
I asked for and got a more specific looking picture
it looks kinda like it may need some kind of bracket...
However I'm not too concerned about the build quality, the dual bar setup looks like it would be stiffer than tubular and weigh less. The only thing that worries me is that it isn't powdercoated. It looks like it could be stainless though. We'll see
Looks different, but if it fits and works , you got a great deal. I like my SLP one night and day difference when it is off and on. Tighter in the corners or switching lanes at higher speeds, STB is a good investment. Looking at the pic, it almost looks like I think it is (Hotchin's) STB where it will pivit.

Well if it's made of polished aluminum, it's useless. That doesn't look to be for the f-body either. If it is a straight bar, it won't fit, as the alternator is in the way. It needs to go up and rearward. We'll see.

Judging by the pic it looks like it is raised in order to make it over our intake manifold. And as for the bend, I am sure they just took the pic facing the wrong way. You probably have to flip it from the way it is displayed in the pic.

You can't make it fit over the Alt. or manifold as your hood would not close. It can't run straight across.
