    There is about 3/4 to 1inch clearance between the alternator and the bar.

          maybe this one is made more to fit over the 3.4? looking at the mounting points, it looks like it would do nothing but flex with the shock mounts...purely asthetic i believe

            I actually have a little bit of faith in the engineering of this one. With two rods, you're getting somewhat of a truss effect with one being stressed compressionally and the other in tension. So youre getting more strength for less weight. Unless theres any twisting, in which case you get screwed. If its mounted right, there shouldn't be any question of strength, however I don't have very much faith in someone who doesn't know how to spell camaro knowledge of an fbody's internals to be able to mount it correctly.

                            Does that clear the hood when closed? I know on a 93-97 I think it would have a problem. Looks good though, let us know how you like it.

                                ok install time 10min or less.
                                did the car feel different yes j/k its probably all in my mind i cant say for sure
                                i think it did but its probably did not do much. maybe what i think i feel is the extra 3 pounds? but anyway show or not im happy with it the ones others buy cost from 100-300 and they cant tell or feel the difference (some do) so if your
                                planing to buy it put it through your mind that its for show and if you notice any
                                good changes then thats a plus for a real good price ill keep you all posted
