When I got my 17 in rims for my carThe passenger side tire would rub when I hit a bump.I thought the shocks were bad even though I just had them replaced. I finally got fed up and installed air shocks. I heard that when you lower your car (which mine is, Eibach 1.5in. dorp springs)that it can change the position of the rear axle and cause the rubbing. Has anyone heard of this or had this problem?

    Re: rear axle

If you lower the car without using an adjustable panhard bar, it will shift the rear end slightly towards the driver side.

All of the major suspension companies make an adjustable bar for our cars.
