  • removing rotors

    changing out the brakes and rotors. there is this little washer like spiral cap thing on the rotor that is really hard to take off, is there any easy way of taking it off? do i need to put them back on?

    those are pushnuts, just try to get a flat blade screwdriver underneath it and break it off. you don't need to put them back on.

      I usually snip them with a pair of wire cutters. Again, no need to put them back on. They are installed on the assembly line to keep the rotors in place before the calipers are installed.

          also, make sure oyu grease those caliper pins up nicely. It'll save you in the future

            pry with a scewdiver then clip with side cutters.
