  • Couple of Questions

107K on my 97 Camaro, and it's riding on all stock suspension (minus Z-28 rear springs and sway with same miles). Needless to say, my shocks aren't that great anymore :P. First off, are there any 1/2" drop kits? I've got a body kit to go on, but I want the wheel gap to be abit lower. I don't want a whole lot; anything more than 1/2" IMO is too much for me as I already drag the air dam at times. One of my buddies said for that little of a drop, best bet is to cut my stock springs; that's how he did it and said it rides great and looks good too. Secondly, I need new shocks. What would be a good stock replacement that'll last for a whlie? I was looking at the KYB GR2's; I want something that'll ride real nice, last a while, and not put a hole in my wallet. Third, who has the poly-bushing kit from Energy Suspension? I don't want to replace my stock parts, just freshen the bushings up in them. How long did it take to install them all? How big of a difference did they make?

    TIA everyone

    Re: Couple of Questions

Eibach Pro-Kit Springs drop it about 1.25 inches. it's sounds like alot but it's not. i didn't want to drop mine because i have ground effects. but it didn't inpact the bottoming out as much as i thought. just take bumps slow. trust me.

and when you get stiffer shocks and struts your car is going to ride higher anyway. the eibach pro kit and bilsteins work wonderful together. thats my set up.

      Re: Couple of Questions

I have eibach's with KYB ADJ. up front and Blisteins HD in the rear with ground effects kit on. I like how it rides, just need to watch for speed bumps and such. I also have the UMI tunnel mount TQ arm which hangs down low, I've seen sparks come off it from uneven road marks. TQ arm held up just fine just some metal removed. But for the price KYB's are nice and you can adjust your ride to your liking. I will go with QA-1 for the fronts in the future just so I can adjust the height of the front along with adjusting rebound.
