Re: STUPID QUESTION by me (again)
do you mean physically OK or opinionated OK ?
personally i wouldn't want to drop the car more than 1" or 1 1/2 "
but in terms of how far is too far in a technical standpoint idk.
btw, the only stupid question is the one NOT asked.
i've had some pretty dumb questions in my time. ;)

Re: STUPID QUESTION by me (again)
I dropped mine 2+ inches with a body kit and I have no problems at all. There's this one steep, curvy, peaking driveway I frequent (I'll have to get a pic) that you would think stock would have trouble, and I go right in without a scrape. My apartment complex is speed bump central and those are not problem either. Alignment bays / racks, no problem. Jacks, I carry 2 small cuts of 2x8 in the back to roll up on (but the jack was an issue at factory height with the kit). Jiffy Lube's floor lift was the closest I've have to an issue, but even then, no problems... See, look how low I'm talking...

Re: STUPID QUESTION by me (again)
Idunno... I installed an entirely new system when I did my suspension, so I can't say with certainty what just springs would do. Surely not handle as well, but I don't foresee unusual clearance issues. What are the road conditions like at your location?
Are the ground clearances of the 3.4 and 3.8 models the same? Never thought about that.

Re: STUPID QUESTION by me (again)
As crazy as this sounds, I actually took small strips of metal and clipped them to my kit to simulate the post lowering clearance of the lowest components, then drove normally to see if I could hit them. I did not.

Re: STUPID QUESTION by me (again)
Stock shocks will not work right with a 1.8" drop,
you need to buy new shocks, or have a shop revalve the old ones (good luck finding someone to do it)
1.8" is not too much of a drop, the eibach drag kit lowers exactly that much, but stock shocks can't handle it...
