They fit in the rubber mounts only one way (you'll see the groove) and are flat on the top. They just kinda pop back up there.

      Re: rear springs

You don't want to use ramps it will compress your springs. You need jacks on both sides. Once jacked up if your only doing springs you should be able to pull the spring out. If not start to undo the top shock nut, but have a jack under the rear pumpkin then you can lower the jack under the rear and it will lower enough to get the springs out and in. There is a circle on the lower part where you put the spring, kinda hard to mess it up. Good luck to ya , it won't be that hard once you get under there and start doing it.

          the top shock nut??

thats quite a bit of extra work dont you think?

the bottom shock nut is a pretty big size. i cant remember off the top of my head but its bigger than 18mm. i think it was 21mm? either way its big and i had to go buy it since my set only went up to 18 or 19mm.

also while youre under there, check your bump stops. its possible theyre worn or just fell apart. gmpartsdirect has replacement poly ones for like $25 each. the rubber ones arent available anymore afaik.

also what size are your wheels? its possible youll need spacers on the bump stops if theyre not stock.

16" rims 245 50R16 ....undoing the top shock bolt is only if the springs are not falling out...

where are the bump stops located btw? I do want to check those...

gmpartdirect doesnt ship to Canada

could probably pick some up off ebay though lol....

              Re: rear springs

if youre facing the wheel, take it off, and in the back of the wheel well there should be a triangular rubber thing. its likely deteriorated. its held in with two screws.

you should never have to undo the top shock bolt. once the shock is unbolted from the bottom, its no longer connected to the axle. removing the top shock bolt requires removing a bunch of your interior.

ok, excuse my ignorance here....this just struck me though, how do I know which side is up and which side is down on the springs?

The bottom is bigger than the top, look at the summit picture again. Once you start doing it you'll know.

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding you, but the bottom of our coils in where the coil gets tighter and smaller into the center of the coil. See look at this pic. You can see how the coil gets much smaller on the bottom. It will also only fit into the little mount on the axle one way.

No. Red objects going left to right are tubular LCA's, KYB AGX adjustable shocks, brake caliper (obviously, but it's red) and a tubular panhard rod.

ok, I lied, two more questions....

                            1) what size is the bolt on the bottom shock

                            2) how do I get the car on jack stands/ where do I put the jacks stands, and do I need to choke any wheels or anything?

                              13/16" I think

                              2) how do I get the car on jack stands/ where do I put the jacks stands,
I put mine under the frame, just in front of the rear end (see my pic).

(yes, I know the sway bar is upside down... I'm going to get a new pic one day)

and do I need to choke any wheels or anything?
Absolutely... chock the front wheel for sure.
