alright, after getting my car inspected and being told my back brakes were fine and had plenty of pad left, two days ago they started grinding, at first i thought it was rust caught in the brake, it didnt stop, so i took my brakes apart
the inner pads (that go against the piston) were completely shot, i was stopping on metal, there was 0% pad left on the drivers side
now, for my question, why were both inner pads that go against the piston (with the squeal thing on it) much much much wore down than the outside pads?
my drivers side inner pad was gone, but the outer pad looked almost brand new, same deal with the pass side, except both had a little more meat on them
what can i do to fix this??
for my next question, after changing the rotors i see that my ebrake goes up much further now than it used to, if i put it at the "normal" pressure i use, i can move the car with it in gear, if i yank it really hard the car will move a bit, but it did stall out while trying this
from what i saw, they wernt auto adjust parking brakes, am i correct about this? how do i set it to make them a bit firmer?
thanks a lot!
