  • How many volts to the 3rd brake light?

Just got done installing my new spoiler and the 3rd light doesn't come on at all. I also noticed that brake lights don't come on when the brake is pressed down (they light when all the lights are turned on, but not when the brake is pressed).

I checked the wires going to the spoiler and it shows a half volt going to it. I haven't checked the switch yet, but it seems like the switch wouldn't keep the 3rd light from coming on at all. Anybody know how many volts should be going to it, maybe its not getting enough to light it up? I'm figuring a wire went bad but I'm open to suggestions

yes, first try disconnecting the 3rd brake like plug and see if just the regular brake lights work, reconnect, try again if it doesn't work then you have your short.

interesting, the fuse for my hazards was bad and thats what was causing it....changed it and now everything works. turn signals worked fine before.
