don't expect a long life using hose, but a gdecent temp fix

I used a $3 garden hose I got form big lots... wasn't even starting to wear through it after 2 years, ~30k

and forget the "you'll put your eye out if you do a suspension spring like that" talk....

#1 reason not to do it that way, if prybar slips or your hand slips you will whack your knuckles, and that hurts.

Or you could undo 4 extra bolts and not have any issues.

yes but you only need to unbolt 1 from each shock to get the rearend loose.

wouldn't it be a waste of time to remove the entire shock?

I say 4 bolts...

1 bolt per shock

1 endlink per side for sway bar.

And you can drop the rear as far as the panhard rod will let you.

Jack up rear,remove bottom two bolts of the shocks, lower rear,remove springs, done.
