    Hey guys, im looking to make my next proformance mod. im looking at posi rear. the only thing that i know is that both wheels spin, other than that i have no idea what the gear ratio im supposed to get is or anything else. can anyone help me.

    gear ratio can be w.e you want it to be...you have one of 3 in your car right now...3.08, 3.23, or 3.42's...you have an option of going to:

    3.42's
    3.73's
    3.90's
    4.10's
    4.56's

    the higher the gear, the faster you get into your powerband...the higher you rev on the highway...so kiss the mileage goodbye...

    2002 SOM Z28 Camaro - 12.9 @ 104 mph

        4.56? Never heard of anyone using that.

              yeah, except if you have 3.08s or you will need a different unit than that. You will need a series 2 carrier. Unless you are changing/already have 3.23's or above. Then you need a series 3 carrier; which is what that unit is.

                  Check the tag on the inside of your drivers side door.

                  GU2 = 2.73
                  GU4 = 3.08
                  GU5 = 3.23
                  GU6 = 3.42
