I bought my rotors from R1 Concepts and love them. I use a basic ceramic pad with no issues at all.

I bought R1 Concepts over 4 years and still going good. I will do a check up on my brakes in about a month, so I'll see if there are any problems with cracks. Try Auto zone for a guide or buy a Haynes manual, pretty easy to install brake pads. Just make sure you grease where it says to.

I swapped them myself. The calipers are held in by two hex-bolts, 3/8" if I recall correctly. Loosen them up, remove the caliper and the rotor comes right off.

how about the whole piston compression thing? is bleeding the brake lines a must? do you have to put the bolts to a specific torque? those are my worries

I have never bleed the lines before, I just remove the brake fluid cap and put a rag around it, so when you use a C -clamp to compress the piston in the brake fluid if it does come out at all goes on the rag. As for torqing the bolts to a specific # I just hand tighten the hardest I can, there might be torque #'s , but I have never used any, mines a 96' so it uses allen wrench for the bolts, don't know about the 98+ . Also the brake pads should have instructions to put the grease in the right spots.

I looked around for quite a while before buying my rotors. Eventually went with these from WS6 store, mostly for the piece of mind of not buying them from e-bay. http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...oducts_id=1598
