simple q about brake line wrench

sorry for such a lame q, but what size box wrench do I need for these brake connections?



I've gone to the store twice already, got a 1/2" and a 3/8" each time. Both don't quite fit - the 1/2" is stripping a little and the 3/8" is too small. Is this metric??

Just don't want to keep going back and forth to the store anymore!

Well, judging from what you bought the only other option is....7/16"!

But I can tell you from tearing my car apart and putting it back together over the course of time, most of these bolts are metric.

That one just happens to be one of few 12mm on the car.

about 95% of the bolts on cars today are metric.. f bodies included.

when i changed my clutch, most were metric, and some were sae.. it kinda sucks, they should stick with just one type, but oh well.. it gives the tool companies more money, and us DIYers more trouble.
