yes you have to take the very rear panels off because there is a bolt located under the carpet there that needs to be taken off. Or at least i think they are under the rear panels, they could be behind the rear seat. There's a square flap cut into the carpet you lift up and you can see what i mean.

you do have to remove the two panels in the rear that the speakers are on. really really easy to take out. no big deal at all

x2 on meaty's advice. when i did mine we had to remove all of the annoying rear interior panels where your back speakers and everything are and lift the carpet just to get to those single bolts on each side...definitely a pita but u can't get around it really.

I'm changing mine soon so, you had me worried.. I thought for a second you were talking about an exterior panel even though you did say interior. Brain fart. I don't wanna deal with removing those. When you get em done, tell us how it goes. Unless I beat ya to it.

hah, whenever we get some decent temps with no snow i will

i will probably replace the backs first, since they are easy

my book says that i have to remove the master cylinder to get to the front shocks and all of that crap.. it really shouldnt be this difficult

i hate engineers, i can replace the spark plugs in my other camaro in under 5 minutes with 3 tools, with the 3.8 it takes 45 min and busting my hand up to get to them

Ever work on a ford? If you've ever had one I'll just assume you've had to. Fun time.

only work i have ever done on a ford was change an intake gasket.. and i must say, it had to be one of the easiest things i have ever done

the hardest part about doing that is the weird electrical connectors they put on the crap thats all over the throttle body, i couldnt get them off

lol, that doesn't support my statement very well. I've been dealing with my cars vs my girlfriends topaz. I'd rather change my head gaskets than her harmonic balancer any day. It would take me longer to do the head gaskets but even still.

i heard you have to do all kinds of crazy stuff to get to the alternator in some fords

speaking of a balancer, i had one of those fall off on a ford before

drove it home with only the belt holding it on :slap:
