3.4l 1994 camaro. So I've had this clunking front passenger ever since I put my new shocks and springs on, today i lifted it up and took a look, I put weight on the lower arm and everything. Nothing seemed amiss, but my sway bar has looked like this for well, a long time, could that be my problem, I can get a little noise out of it, I have all new tie rod ends, inner and outer.

Re: I gots the clunk
does it happen when you go over bumps, if so try rocking the car side to side while standing outside the car. if you hear it there i would bet it would be you frame mount sway bar bushings. or it could also be control arm bushings.

Re: I gots the clunk
Well, I actually had an Idea, so I went outside, and watched each part as I jacked it up, and as the shock and spring were lifted, it looked like the top nut on the shock isn't all the way secure, and there was like a cm of travel before the shock started to compress, anyone else ever done this? And could it have caused damage to anything?
