Re: abs inop light?
it usually comes on when the car cant read the wheel speed sensors.. or the wheel speed sensors are getting weird readings (such as you spinning the tires in snow, backs are moving at 60mph, while fronts are going 5mph) and a bad 3rd brake light on older cars can cause it
what exactly did you do to the car when this problem started?? replace the back brakes?

Re: abs inop light?
i just got the car running on friday, cranked it up, while it was sitting on some ramps, i noticed it then! so today i took it off the ramps, but the battery was dead, got it charging now, will start the car tomorrow or wednesday, after i put a new plenum gasket on it, & see if it being off the ramps will make the light go off! i havent touched the brakes yet, just trying to get it running right 1st, then the light pops on, so i figured ild ask about it! its a 95 camaro, 5 spd car, if that helps any!

Re: abs inop light?
Yeah, start with the easy stuff. Put your foot on the brake and have someone check to make sure your spoiler brake light is coming on. If it is burnt out, it will trigger the ABS inop light.
Then try cleaning off the wheel speed sensors. Start there and get back whether it's still on or not.
