  • help! just did heater hose mod...

well i just got done with the heater hose mod, and i thought everything went surprising well untill i checked the ride height.

i don't know how close they should be, so i don't know if i should re-do it and try it again or leave it.

from the ground up to the bottom (outside) of the fender:

    rear left (driver)= 27 7/8"
    rear right (pass)= 27 1/2"
    nearly 1/2" difference.

    front left= 27 1/4"
    front right= 27"

what do you think? for those that have done this, how close were you able to get it? is 1/2" fixable?
i was reading that if this happens to rotate the spring. Which way to lower it? or does it matter?

    please help.

I have the heater hose mod on mine in the rear with 114lb springs, blistein HD shocks , it seems the pass. is always off alittle I just plan on using a reg. spacer on the pass. side to raise it up. my front is fine, but I think that is due to weight red. and front QA-1 adj. front shocks/300lb springs. I think all f bodys all are off on the Passenger side.

I've heard this too. Gotta balance out the average Fat Joe squeezed behind the steering wheel.

have someone over 100lbs sit in the driver's seat, then measure again

yeah, i guess (after more reading and other's thoughts) the pass side is like that. i'm going to rotate the spring a little just to check butif it doesn't change, i'll just leave it.

savage, if you want to know more, pm me andi can walk you through it and give you some tips. it went surprising well.

                Yes.

It's done like that on purpose, that way, when the driver is in the car, the car is level, and handles better because of that. Once you sit in the driver seat, that 1/2 inch is dropped to even with the passenger side.
