This is still appropriate for suspension, so I'm sure it will stay here.
I haven't heard anything about the gr2s, but if your short on cash, and really need shocks, there is nothing wrong with getting some cheap replacements from autozone and the like. Monroe's have been said to be better than stock, and certainly better than worn out stockers.
What about SLP-Bilsteins? I've heard they give a better ride than stock and will last a lifetime. From what I can gather, they are Bilstein HD's revalved for a SLP springs, or is that bull****?

i have gas-a-just on my beetle, i use it for auto-x, and they are good. really cant tell cause i have a super stiff suspension already, but they are nice, and good on the wallet.
