so yesterday i spent all day putting new springs, shocks, and brakes on my car. the rearend was easy as s**t, but when i got to the front it started going downhill. I started with the passenger side and the top mount was rusted so i drove 20 miles to the only place that had one and only the one. then i couldn't compress the spring til i redneck styled it and dropped my truck on it to be able to get the nut on, but then i had it a$$ backwards. so i said forget about it for now. and started on the other side.

my question is how do you get the hex screw from under the master cylinder. do i have to remove the master cylinder in order to remove that shock??

      Re: front suspension

Yeah, you have to re move the master for that. two 15mm I believe, and you won't loose any fluid or anything. Just take those two bolts out and pull the master to the side a bit so you can get to it. And yes, front shocks suck. I spent a full day getting my shock mounts off when I did shocks, had to grind off the nut and then drill out the stud. Big fun.

When you install it back together use reg. bolts instead of the torx bolts then next time you can take them out by moving the line some and you won't have to mess with the master cyl. and the torx heads. I think mine are 17mm heads I put in there, just find the right lenght and pich of the torx bolts.

yeah thats what i planned on doing. the new shock mount gave me regular bolts and my old shock mount had regular bolts. but thanks for the tip. oh and i used kyb agx's. i drove my car last night with them on the back and it already drove 100 times better so i cant wait to get the front ones on.

              Re: front suspension

Thats good because you won't need to remove the brake booster next time for front spring installs. I had KYB Adj. on the front for about 2 years great shocks for the money, I had them on 5 or 6 on the front and was alot better than decarbons this was with Eibachs 1" lowering springs.

yeah i have kyb agx adjustables with eibachs too. for some reason the passenger side is higher than the left side and when i bounce the car the fron passenger side shick sounds like it is rubbing on something but im not seeing anything and everything is on right. any ideas
