Ok how do you do it? I attempted to install mine today and failed miserably...I jacked the car up on 4 jack stands...got under there...I saw the 3 bolts that Hynes says to take off...but how do you get them out?? The top bolt we got undone, but then your can't pull the bolt through...
Just like I did to my finger today, use a metabo wheel and get new bolts. However, this isn't an upgrade I've attempted yet but whenever bolts give me trouble I get rid of them as easily as possible.
i need those screws for later...Even if I had new ones I can't put them back in that area...there is no room...I am referring to the bolts that hold the front mount (by the transmission)
If no one that knows can give you an answer by tomorrow night, I'll go ahead and take a look while mine is still up on stands. I'm willing to bet you come up with a solution by then anyways.
The top bolt is usually in so that the nut is on the drivers side. If you take off that nut the bracket that holds the bushing should separate. The bottom two bolts don't go through the outer bracket, it just hooks into the inner bracket.
If all fails you can remove the torque arm from the rear and pull it out of the front mount, then remove the trans tail shaft with the front torque arm bracket attached.
Once you get it off and on once you'll be able to do it alot easier in the future. My first time wasn't too bad because I watched mechanics do it several times before, so it took maybe 5-10 mins at the most with floor jacks. Now with the tunnel mount probably a couple of mins.LOL

the top bolt the nut that falls off is on the passengers side...we got that off...but when you go to pull the bolt out, it won't come out...it hits the part of the floor that dips down...it would be impossible to pull the bolt out of that spot...or even put a new one in...it is too long... the other nuts are in really tight spots as well...
Also, do you have to break the rivets that are on that metal mount? According to the ES sheet you do?
Once it is loose and you take the 2 long bolts from the rear just wack the rear so it comes out and pull on the TQ arm , it should just pull out. You should have the screws that came with the Tq arm mount I remember getting rid of the rivets and using screws, I can't remember much after that, I have had a hard time these couple of days with my memory. Let me check on install University.

You will need to drop the tranny down remove the mount lower tranny and them remove torque arm bracket. I just did this in the resto of the 94 once the trans is down it is simple to remove the bracket.

Mine is a 96' I never dropped the tranny. LOL Just get the TQ out and then you'll be able to see what you need to do better. I can't remember because I swaped my 96' M5 for a 00' M5 then went to a 02 A4' so I can't look at mine but I have a spare 94' TQ arm mount and a spare 02' Tq arm mount from the A4 tranny. And the stock TQ arm incase I rip the UMI one off.LOL

well I got the tq arm on ....is an edelbrock non adjustable...feels a little better, doesnt shake under braking anymore...but now it really lights up the rear tires from a 40km/h roll....I get some wheel hop on that 1-2 shift to...I guess my old one was really robbing alot of torque from me...
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
