Ok, I'm getting creeeking sounds from the front suspension when I brake hard enough/soft enough to bring the front end down slowly.

I installed a tube K member, and new front coil overs. Didn't hear any creeking before I took it to get an alignment. After I got the alignment, there's now a creeking sound as I've described above.
I've heard multiple things could be the problem.. such as, control arm bushings worn.. but really.. how could those go from fine to bad in an hour? I also heard that the guy doing the alignment could have possibly left some bolt vaguely loose which would cause the awful noise. Or maybe he tightened them too much? I didn't see any torque wrenches but I sure as hell saw a half inch impact. My fuggin steering wheel isn't perfectly straight either which is starting to drive me nuts.

I'll be bringing my car back in for the steering wheel situation but do you guys think the creeking could have been caused by some whacko trigger finger on a half inch impact? I'll bring that up to them.. Along with the whole jacking on the "Do not jack here" Tab. ****ers.

Mine sometimes has a creaking kind of pop whenever weight shifts from the front to back or vice versa on slopes. A while back someone told me to check to see if the sway bar endlinks were tightened down enough. Maybe yours aren't torqued down enough.

I would def. take it back to them , just for the steering wheel and then have them test drive it to show them what it is doing.

        Re: Creeking sound

My old camaro had a creek that drove me nuts for months! I found it by mistake. I had someone jack the car up as I was just about to slide under it to change the oil, and I heard the sound. I had them lower it slightly and then raise it back up, and I foiund the noise to be my front swaybar bushings.

Took the swaybar off, put a thin film of caliper grease inside of the bushings and then reinstalled everything. The sound never came back again.

Not sure if that's your issue, but you may want to check it.

I did just replace the endlinks with energy suspensions. I'll try squirting them with some super lube before I take em off.. It was pretty hard getting those on in the first place. The threading needs to be a little bit longer.

And yeah ssms, i'm definitely taking it back to get the steering wheel fixed. Hopefully I can figure out the creeking problem before I get back to them.

You're kidding, right? IIRC I have a good 1+inch of thread above the bolt cuz there was so many threads..

That creaking may be because the tubular arms may have poly bushings. Any poly bushing needs to be lubed at least every 6 months and they'll be fine. You'll get the solid feel, as well as noise free operation. Lube them all well and it should take care of any creaking/cracking noises. I try to get grease fittings into any part that has that for just that reason.

read original post, not to be an *** but I still have the stock control arms.

I should probably look into getting the correct endlinks since that is definitely a problem. On top of that I found a leak which I'm pretty sure is a brake line. Fun fun.

I have poly bushings and rod ends on my Tub. upper/lower A arms , no problems with the at all. Really tight front suspension with the QA-1's set on 5 setting. Since my car is down I might put in the rear QA-1's and the methanol kit, waiting on my new ign. setup. Good luck on the brake lines I was going to install the Earls stainless but couldn't get the line off, my strenght is pretty weak on my left side. I need my Dad to stay over here for a week and help me get all this stuff done.LOL

Also alot of people have bad comments about rod ends an poly on the front suspension, i'm going on 2 years with mine and it is fine. I just grease all mt fittings (16) twice a year use Lithuim grease on the rod ends and gm grease on the poly , I just cover the rod ends in lithuim grease, we don't have rust in AZ but back east this would pay off. Plus you can always take them off , they unscrew and put new poly or rods ends which ever you like their about $30 a peice I think.

lmao, ya know what I'm gonna do.. I'm gonna take it to another mechanic and have them figure out what it is specifically. Free inspections ftw.

Dude, my left side is weak and I don't have any medical conditions.

I'm left handed so the stroke on the left side messed me up, can't even write legiable anymore, so I guess I don't have a dominate side anymore, probably right side but it would be like someone who is right handed trying to write left handed. I got my allighnment from Firestone with lifetime allignments for $130 already had 3 from them so its paying off.LOL
