  • Strange noise stops when brakes applied

I did a search and didn't find any posts about the noise from the drivers front side stopping when brakes applied. The noise is not always there, just enough to bug me. It sounds like kind of a squeak that sort of warbles as the wheel rotates driving. I thought the pad change indicators made noise all the time when the pads got low, is this not true? Am I just looking at replacing pads, maybe?

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

    I'd check the pads.

If the caliper slides are sticking it can cause a squeal when your not pushing your brake pedal.

this is my vote, either a seized piston or the "sliders" arent working very well
