Nice! Bone stock or did you modify it any? There is lots of info on this site for the 4th gen Camaro's that's for sure. Many great builds have come and been documented here.

Yeah, I bought mine brand new too 22 years ago. Three more years and I get to register it as a classic rod. There were times when I came very close to trading it in and taking the offers, but I really do love the car.

Bought mine December 1995, I’ll be getting historical plates on mine. Yeah Edgar, I had mine up for sale before, was going to get a 4x4 truck. Didn’t work out so I kept it, don’t know if it was a good thing or not with all the money I’ve put into it all these years.

just bought my 1997 T top. I have it torn down to the intake gasket which now have been replaced
working my way up. Other than broken and seized bolts it’s been a real pain. It definitely is a lot more work than I anticipated.
Hopefully it will be all worth it.

Did you use the alm. lower intake gaskets? They work pretty well. Also when you install the tensioner assembly use the aluminum coolant elbows.Yeah should be worth it. Welcome to the site.

Purchased the aluminum elbows but my tensioner assembly requires a “oh” ring seal instead of a elbow.
I now have 3 of these seals for sale if anyone is interested .

Nice. Yeah on my 1996, I use one, I got mine from Rockauto it’s the one going into the lower intake. On the 1998-2002 they use both elbows. But you can get the single ones for the 96 and 97.
