Guys, my best friend Ken's brother got stabbed this morning. It's likely that he wont make it through the night. Please keep him and our group of close friends in your thoughts and prayers.

What isnt told is that he was protecting a couple college girls this guy was stocking and they were asking him to leave them alone. Charles got involved and in the process got stabbed in the heart. He wont likely make it through the night. The surgery is done and now it's just the waiting game.

UPDATE This is serious enough to have Ken and his wife Kerry fly in from Seattle and his dad to fly in from Cincinnati.

According to police, 20-year-old David Garrison was arrested in the stabbing of 22-year-old Charles Higdon during a fight early Monday morning.

Higdon was taken to Norman Regional Hospital and is in critical condition in the ICU following surgery.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Another proof that society is going down the toilet. That's where my neighbor downstair got stabbed at too, close to the heart and he bled to death.

I hope he pulls through. I will keep Charles in my prayer.

I just got back from the hospital. He's stable, but not awake or breathing on his own. He lost enough blood to force almost a full fusion. He was stabbed with a 4 inch switch-blade. When they found him and took him in, he wasnt breathing, had no pulse, both lungs collapsed from the internal bleeding, with the knife still in his chest. He looks rough to say the best. He has some color in him now and is moving his arms and legs when the nurses adjusted his breathing tubes. Things look grim, but I have faith he will pull through.

Really sorry to hear this man. A very close friend of mine was just in a roll over accident and the drs said she wasnt going to make it but she is beating the odds, so I can relate to what your going threw, you and your friends will be in my thoughts, and I wish you and your friend the best.

As long as he's still alive there is HOPE!!!

Tomorrow I will have my CCD students say a prayer for him.

Whoa, it's a shame he got that for doing the right thing an going out of his way to protect others. Prayers are with him.

He's awake and coherent, however he is still in alot of pain. He's kinda colorblind and has no sense of taste, but he is awake now. He will be leaving ICU tomorrow.
