So, I've been car shopping lately.

I'm getting closer and closer to making a final decision. I'll be buying once my lease is up on the C Class which is March.

Cars on the table:
Challenger SRT8
Camaro ZR1
C63

Cool cars that I looked at and want but for one reason or another didn't make the cut:
Shelby GT500
Viper GTS (used - 2006)
C6 Grand Sport
C6
Several C5's
Grand Cherokee SRT8 (1st gen)
Stang GT



My wife says she may kill me because she doesn't want me in a powerful car again.... because I'll go back to racing and modifying and doctor says that is a no no..... but I'm stuborn.

It's the first time I really want my lease to hurry up and end.

Seen some sick C63 AMGs. Never get tired of seeing more. Challenger would probably disappoint, Zl1 can't justify the cost... vipers just suck, IMO.

Viper didn't make the cut because I've had 4 knee surguries to my left knee and it ain't the same - the clutch would kill the knee eventually.

Actually, whatever toy I get will mark the last benz I get for myself. I'll still get them for the wife and have them as company cars.... but it's time for a cool powerful DD for me.

The cars are relatively similar is price - between $50 and 60K.

Used Viper came in at $39K

C6 Grand Sport was too expensive - came in at $77K

Feb 8th the plum crazy purple is released for the challenger. Launch control will also be out for the 13 challenger but it is a late release - I don't have a date for that yet. I'm curious to see what the launch control can do for the challenger. Quickest stock time I've seen for the 392 SRT8 is 12.2

C63 is right there with speed and with an intake and sticky tires it will go 11's.... but mod's are FRIGIN expensive!

ZR1 is a low 12 second car - mod's are relatively affordable and can go 11's relatively easy.

The times I mentioned are on the quicker side but I feel I'm not your beginner time of drag racer ;)

There was a time I considered the camaro V6 with a turbo kit - go back to my V6 roots - car goes low 12's....but I'm going V8 this time around

if had to trade in my bird or even sell it (whitch i hope it never comes to that) i would get the DODGE CHALLENGER SRT8!!! i hope one day il have enough money to get in the 50,000 price range :) but thats my suggestion
