Yes you have to understand illegal aliens. I was one for quite a number of years before I was lucky enough to gain residency status through a very complex and time consuming process. I haven't seen my dad and other relatives in almost 7 years (yes SEVEN years).

Let me put this into perspective for you:
You live in your country and your country doesn't meet your expectations or you're forced to move out for whatever reason. You come to United States and you have NO rights. You cannot leave the country to see your loved ones, because you will NEVER be able to come back again. You cannot get a job above 6$/hr. You cannot get into ANY trouble, because all this will make a difference between staying and being deported. Thank god back then you could get a drivers license without social security number. We were so poor we had to share 2 rooms with 2 other people and live in some roach infested appartment.

You're failing to realize, that US depends on these kinds of immigrants, because people that are born here don't want to do all the dirty work such as lawn-mowing and other lowest paying jobs.

You don't feel like you want to understand these issues, because you've never been through them. It is not easy.

Adn you guys have to understand a little bit of the definition of an Illegal alien.

Our government has a very very very very slow process fo citizenship. My brother's wife is STILL an illegal immigrant. He Jan 2003, official paperwork. And last check 3 months ago, her paperwork and background checks have not even started to have been processed(btw for those of you that don't know the law, you are guranteed citizenship if married to a US citizen). She went back to visit her family in last summer, by doing so, they cannot enter the US, my bro went with her, they are moving to England, but she cannot enter the US, they got a connecting flight in Miami, she had to stay in the airport "The Terminal" style for 12 hours, while my brother went to my parents and picked up alot of importnat stuff they needed to take with them to England. She is currently submitting a new citizenship application through the American Embassy in England, since the process goes quicker there since they have less applications then pretty much center in the southeast.

She is from a wealthy family in Peru, and my family is upper middle class, she was here under a student visa, and me my bro, lived in the US for years, but her Visa expired, despite attmepts to extend it, and her staying in the US makes her an illegal.


Jsut a point to bring up. Not every illegal immigrant, came over on a spare tire across the ocean, or crawled under a fence. And have no intention in becoming a good citizen.

And on the subject of illegal aliens--there is NO excuse.

I am an alien... but I am a LEGAL alien. I have a Green Card, have lived here for 24 years of my life. I am in the process of becoming a citizen but thanks to those ******* illegals and Bush's hateful anti-immigrant xenophobia it takes 1-2 years.

But in the meantime, I'm still legal. If I have to wait in line for six hours every ten years to renew my Green Card then so should every other immigrant. Why the **** is that so difficult to understand? People act like the only way to get into this country is to sneak in. BS!!! Try getting in the LEGIT way like my family did!

I call that tough ****. I would never be "forced to move out", I would stand and fight and make it work for myself and my family.

Back in my homeland of Sweden we get refugees from all over the Third World... because the stupid Swedes are "nice" and give them amnesty and allow them all to come in and suck up off the Swedes, who prior to about ten years ago had the highest standard of living in the world... and what has happened? Now that the country's population is 9 million, of which 1 million is refugees, the standard of living has dropped, crime has skyrocketed (who ever heard of a murder in Sweden before 1990?), racial clashes have become commonplace, the economy is in shambles...

Refugees need to stand on their feet and be patriots instead of running away and sucking up off the rich countries of the West.
