• More info on the new Camaro...

    It looks somewhat like the new model GTO that will be coming out will correspond with a new Camaro on the zeta platform in 2008:

                  shirl has a point.. remember the impala..from a Lt1 to a 3.4 and 3.8. or the malibu? or...that new nomad? heck you never know it might even get the supercharged ecotech at this rate.

                  seriously though.. as long as it has a v8 and is rear wheel drive, i dont care what it looks like.. thats not what matters,its what is under the hood.

                    yes, who wants a 350+hp rwd car anyway

                    however.......

                    I wondering where the anniversary models have been for cars like the Bonneville, Grand Prix, and Grand AM. All of which have run longer than the f-bods & mustards. After all, slapping "Anniversary" on a car makes it worth that much more.

                          </font>
THe anniversary thing is a good idea, but I don't think that is what GM is going for. Anniversary implies that the car is old. GM wants people to think that the malibu, Bonneville GP, GA, and MC are all new designs that can compete with all the new age jap crap that infects our roadways.

                          If the average Joe blow consumer thinks he is buying an anniversary model of a classic car, he will tuck his tail between his legs and run an import dealer.

                            Yeah, Ive been hearing chevelle way too much. I dont think we see a camaro anytime soon. Prob 10-20 years down the road maybe when the next retro phase hits

                              i like the 05 GTO alot. It's a REALLY nice car. The interior isnt $hit like f-bodies, and its pretty quick (understatement) Im glad they changed the tailpipes, and the hood looks quite good. The new rear bumper does'nt look fat like the 04 model.

                              If the camaro comes back, i think it will be a HUGE hit. People are now realizing just how much they appreciated F-bodies. Nothing beats a $20k rear wheel drive V8 with over 300hp
