my car has the Y87 performance package.. [img]smile.gif[/img] at least i think??... i checked out my codes on the side of my door and it read G80, GU6, QCB, and j65, which according to this: http://tech.firebirdv6.com/y87.html means that i do. (its a 2000 camaro by the way)

If you really have the Y87 package, it'll say Y87. ;)

Not to say you couldn't get any of the others without the Y87 package.

Many 2000 Camaros came with G80 and GU6 but lacked the Y87 code. Mine included. It was some kind of option freak. It had leather interior, power driver's seat, no power windows or door locks, 3.42s, and LSD. Very odd.

mine has power doors/locks, no leather interior though. the thing is, it read every code needed for the y87. where would the y87 code be?

Y87 would be one of the codes on the door, just like all the others.

Do you have stock dual exhaust?

Chances are you just have the gears and lsd, but not the whole package or you would've seen it. That would also mean you don't have the V8 steering ratio.

i ( had)stock dual exhaust in the begining, yes. and it reads the J65 code and the QCB code.

J65 is standard on all F-cars 98+. The wider tires was also an option.

thats wierd? leather and no power?

Mine was not sure if the word is rare...

but fully loaded all options except

cloth seats
hardtop
Manual
non-y87

other then that just about every option excluding gfx.

Wow...this brings up a slight wonder for me too...

I have the wider tires option....235/55/16 which was an option...i wonder if i have the 3.42 gears? I dont have the LSD...but i could have the gears...

What would the code be if i have gears but no LSD.
