Any experience or info w/'98 Eclipse GST

My other friend doesnt get the concept of RWD being better than FWD for racing. He doesnt get the weight distribution to the back wheels. He thinks FWD is faster cause the motor is right above the wheels and can grip better pulling the car. He has a 3000GT [img]graemlins/rofl.gif[/img]

A Turbo Timer one of the first things you buy for a stock turbo/car?

turbo timer? all that does is let the oil in the turbo cool after a good spooling session.

will it help, yes. but one of the first mods? dunno about that.

Truth be told about the turbo timer, I'd get one as my first mod to help the longevity of the turbo. Lord knows I can't sit with my car after some spirited driving all the time, and I don't want to cause oil coking, etc. Let your friend know that he should be having plenty of fun with proper maintenance and common sense. ;)

Wow actually most people that deal with turboed cars laugh at the concept of a turbo timer(waste of money). Don't hit boost for about 5 mintues before you park. Thus negating the use of the turbo timer. Also let the car reach operating temps before you enter boost.
